We have now decided what type of fork we need on our race project. 
It will be an early Sportster fork and we will begin renovation this weekend.
We have also blasted the frame and we are ready to begin to modify it ...

We need to change the steering shaft to a bigger one, it is 7/8" on a sportster and 1" on a big twin....
To run on the salt we must have steering damper mounted, we got one from a Kawasaki 750 from 70 s .......
The frame is now blasted and ready so we can start working on it .. we are planning on it should be done a couple of inches longer, and the head tube must be laid out a few degrees . We will also make some reinforcements so that the frame becomes more rigid ....
